SAP Functional Consultant - GTS

We are hiring a SAP Functional Consultant - GTS for a contract opportunity with a large GCC enterprise based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is an excellent opening for a junior consultant looking to build hands-on experience within a complex, enterprise-scale environment supporting critical global trade and compliance operations. The role offers exposure to established SAP landscapes, cross-functional business teams, and high-visibility initiatives within a well-structured regional organisation. The successful candidate will support the configuration, testing, and day-to-day functional delivery of SAP GTS solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners. You will assist in gathering business requirements, preparing functional specifications, supporting issue resolution, and contributing to process improvements across trade compliance, customs, and related logistics processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced delivery setting. You will also participate in implementation and support activities, including system testing, user support, documentation, training coordination, and change request handling. Working within a major GCC enterprise will provide valuable experience in structured governance, regional business practices, and enterprise transformation programmes. • 1-3 years of SAP functional consulting experience, with exposure to SAP GTS in support, rollout, or implementation environments • Basic to intermediate understanding of SAP GTS processes, including trade compliance, customs management, and screening functionalities • Experience supporting requirement gathering, functional documentation, configuration assistance, SIT/UAT testing, and end-user support • SAP certification in a relevant SAP functional area is preferred; SAP GTS-related training or certification exposure would be a strong advantage • Prior involvement in at least one SAP implementation, enhancement, or support project within an enterprise environment • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across logistics, finance, procurement, and compliance stakeholders • Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and documentation skills suited to a large GCC enterprise environment • Professional, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach, with cultural awareness and the ability to operate successfully in the UAE/GCC business context
